Horned Puffins

Puffins are very social birds. They nest in colonies, where several pairs have nests close together. The puffins interact regularly through many behaviours, including a courtship display called billing. Once paired off, puffins will generally stay with the same mate for life, returning to the burrow they dug together for subsequent mating seasons. After the female lays a single egg, both parents take turn incubating the egg for about 45-55 days. Both the male and female take turns in feeding the chick, small fish and zooplankton. Arctic blue Fox (Blue Morph)

Fully grown arctic foxes weigh 6 to 10 pounds. They average 43 inches (109 cms) in length including the tail. They are smaller than their relative, the red fox, they have short legs and body, short ears, and a denser winter fur coat. Arctic foxes moults twice a year. Blue foxes remain dark or charcoal coloured year round, but are somewhat lighter coloured in winter. Arctic foxes are monogamous and usually mate for life. They have an average lifespan of 16 years.
